Summer Vacation! woohoo!

BOYS LOADED UP AND READY TO GO: 5:45am Wed morning, May 23rd

Day 1: Left for SanAntonio around 6am, stopped just outside and went through the Natural Bridge Caverns. The boys loved it, especially the part about being in a CAVE!! although they kept asking where all the bats were...ooops! The boys really enjoyed pointing out all the "Stalactites" and "Stalagmites" along the way! To her own surprise, Mommy even made it up and down all the steep grades without getting tired or winded! woohoo!

Day 1 evening: Checked into the hotel, visited the Alamo, and had dinner on the RiverWalk. The boys really enjoyed feeding the ducks their dinner! Then we rode the River Boat along the river and had a really funny tour guide. Nathan was intrigued but Brady was a little exhausted and just laid in my arms most of the ride! It had been a VERY long and adventurous day!

Day 2: We went to the Market Square, shopped and showed the boys all the cool things from Mexico. In the pic below - Nathan's purchase! Then we went over to a playground across the street and had lunch at the famous Mi Tierra's where Brady had his first ever "Shirley Temple". Can you tell his excitement!? Later that afternoon we went to the large kids playground at Hemisphere Park. Afterwards, we attended our timeshare presentation to get our SeaWorld tickets, ate dinner, swam in the pool and went to bed early for our big day tomorrow!

Day 3: SEAWORLD!! We woke up that morning to a stormy downpour and according to the radar it wasn't going to let up. Nonetheless, we got ready, had breakfast and made our way to SeaWorld praying it would go away. Just after the park opened, the rain stopped and stayed gone ALL day!! It was fabulous weather! It was a little sad early on for the boys as we found out that Shamu's happy harbor where the little water play area and HUGE playground was would probably remain closed. But, at about 1:30 it all opened and I think honestly that it was what the boys LOVED best about SeaWorld!! They got to feed dolphins, see the dolphin show, see Shamu up-close and personal as we were sitting on the front row right in front of the platform where he comes up, and tons of other really cool things - but the amazing playground and webs-course (as Brady calls it) was by far the coolest to them! We had originally thought we would be going back again on Sat for half the day so we could see everything, but we ended up seeing all the shows and sites in just one day! whew! It helps when you don't have children that are tall enough to ride the rides and a pregnant Mommy who can't ride anything - no lines to stand in - YEAH!!!

Day 4: Originally our plan was to do a 1/2 day at SeaWorld, stop by and have dinner with Brandon's grandmother in Clifton and then head home late that night....BUT I had been fighting getting Brandon's and the boys cold for a week or so and my battle finally ended after SeaWorld! I was up all night coughing and my body had finally had enough activity and needed to rest! Since we had finished SeaWorld and didn't want to get Brandon's grandmother sick, we got a late check-out and just headed home instead. Although they were having tons of fun, I think the boys were a little exhausted and ready too. Brady is already asking to have his birthday party there in October. I told him I didn't think we could take his friends that far and he said "that's ok, mommy, it can just be our family again - the Tyler's - for my birthday". That one sweet phrase made it all worth while!! It was a great vacation and full of wonderful family memories !!!

Looks like you guys are having so much fun. Nathan looks cool in his new hat. You guys were right up next to the whale and it must have been an awesome experience to feed the dolphins. We hope to see you soon.
