HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
(I've put two more updates on the blog as well,
so be sure to look at those for Fall & Christmas!)
We finally allowed Nathan and his older brother
to read Lord of the Rings this year. However, when they
finished book two we told them they would have
to wait to read book three until they were a
little older. --Older being when
N. turned 12 so we could give him the Trilogy
for his birthday!!! HAHA!

ACTING
He told us a few months ago that he really
wanted to be in commercials, so we researched
some possibilities together. I think we'll stick with local
acting theaters for now and see what God does.
Serving
He has such a serving heart and is a huge help
around the house. It never phases
him a bit to step up to do more if needed
or to help someone in need.
He ran a city 1mile race for the 4th of July
and won it!! As long as he has his
headphones on with his worship
music, this kid can fly!!
New Glasses!!
This speaks for itself. Just as handsome as ever!
He is very concerned about his clothes, his style,
his hair, and his fashion sense, so getting
glasses was not something he looked forward
to AT ALL. The Lord has used it mightily to
show him who he really is in Christ and that he's
still just as handsome with his new style!
Family
He has such a sweet, traditional, and sentimental spirit.
He loves photo albums, spending time with
his cousins and just being with our own
little crazy family. Family movie nights are his favorite!
He is a true movie enthusiast!
Football - his favorite sport!
Sadly, most of my football pictures have seemed to
disappear from my camera and my computer. :(
Music and Guitar!
N. has been taking guitar lessons for about
two years now and is doing really well. He really enjoys
leading our small homegroup in worship to the songs he's
learning. His heart's desire is to be a Christian pop-star and
an actor in movies. He also writes his own music & lyrics.
They're really impressive!!
Anything high and in the air!!
I've learned to hold my breath and close my mouth
and just say, "Awesome", when I see him on anything off
the ground. These pictures aren't really much compared to
what he's normally doing. Moms at the park constantly ask me
if I'm ok with what he's doing and I just smile. He tightropes
everything in sight trying to get to the tallest feature in the
park. He calls it his parkour training, but I could
easily see him in Cirque du Soleil one day!

An actor, a singer, a song writer, a worship artist, a loyal and adventurous friend, a high-wiring balancer, a reader extraordinaire, a movie enthusiast, a re-caller of all things historical and humorous, a loving & playful brother, a hilarious and compassionate son, and a fearless servant of Christ. These are just a few ways this amazing pre-teen is growing and learning how to us the talents God has given him to glorify the Lord. His passion and excitement constantly puts a smile on our faces and joy in our hearts. We love you, Nathanator!! You are a blessing beyond words. Happy 12th Birthday!!
