Random Corban pics

Corban is growing, and growing, and can you say "GROWING"!! I didn't know newborn babies could really grow this fast - I guess I knew it, just hadn't experienced it with Brady or Nathan. At 5 weeks, Corban has gained 4lbs and 4 inches and is now approx 12lbs and 23.5 inches long. A very healthy baby boy and VERY HAPPY too!! He is still sleeping great at night going about 6-7hrs and just this week started smiling and cooing - SOOO CUTE!! I still haven't gotten a smile on camera yet but stay tuned I'm sure there will be plenty! The boys are still loving taking care of him and it really bothers them to see him cry - they HAVE to try to make it all better! SOOO sweet!Daddy & Nathan's first time to feed Corban. They waited a long time so Mommy pumped so they could have this special moment. It was very sweet and Nathan was VERY excited to feed his baby brother! - Daddy too!

Nathan's Adoption Day

Nathan chose to celebrate his adoption day this year (Sept 17th) at the Rain Forest Cafe - he LOVES that place!! He had alot of fun and enjoyed going through his adoption scrapbook and looking through pictures of him as a baby with his birthfamily. He still doesn't really understand everything and just takes it "matter of fact" that he didn't grow in my belly like Corban. He loves looking at pictures of his birth family and being reminded that he has 2 sets of families that love him SOOOO much! It was a very precious day!

BlastBall Games

The boys are having a BLAST playing Blastball and are really getting into it!! They are great batters and hustlers at catching the balls!

1st day of school

Today was the boys 1st day of preschool!! Unfortunately, Nathan came down with a bad cough so he wasn't able to go. Talk about a very SAD little boy!! They have both been excited about starting school since they found out this summer. They have been so proud to have something "just for them". We decided it would be good for them to get out of the house a couple times a week and meet new friends their age, especially since "all" Brady's friends his age are starting kindergarten this year so he wouldn't have anyone to play with during the day. (his birthday missing the cutoff by a month) This will help tremendously since we have such social little guys!! It's just for 3hrs 2days a week, so it's perfect for them.

They are both being homeschooled too and loving that as well. Brady is doing 1st grade work and Nathan kindergarten. It's really amazing how fast they learn!! Brady is a fluent and quick reader now and actually reads bedtime stories to us and Nathan now. He's a great adder/subtracter and now can multiply too - how crazy is that?! Nathan is starting to read very simple words and blends now and loves, loves, loves counting to 100 by 1's and 10's and telling us the numbers off signs, billboards and everything he see's! He's becoming great at adding/subtracting too! Teaching them is such a joy and they LOVE learning!!

Last days of Summer

Since it was the last day for our city pool to be open and Labor Day, we decided to take the boys for one last swim. They had a blast!! and Corban slept through it all!

After once down the slide, they were good to go on their own!! They can't wait to get to that 48 inch mark so they can go down the "bigboy" slide!!Such a content little guy!

Corban 2 week update

Corban had his 2 week doctors visit this morning and the doctor was amazed! He has gained 1 1/2 lbs (almost2) in just 2 weeks since he was last seen! The expectation is for him just to gain back what he lost in the couple days after birth which was only 6oz! He is now a BIG 9 pounder and 21 3/4 inches long!! The nurse figured they didn't quite stretch him out the full length at birth because there is no way he's grown 2 inches in 2 weeks! :) He is doing excellent and the doctor was also amazed that he is doing so well at night too. YEAH!! So, Corban is definitely a growing boy and doing wonderful!
