MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

This Christmas Season has probably been one of the most precious for me in many, many years. It’s simply because this year I wasn’t caught off guard by the commercialism. I wasn’t frustrated by all the events, preparations and things that needed to get done. I was prepared. I was prepared in my heart to make it count, to make it matter, to make a difference, to touch others lives, to ready the hearts of my children, to love our neighbors and give beyond all I knew I was able. And as we approach Christmas Eve tomorrow I sit back with a heart filled to overflowing with abundant joy and peace. Every goal I set out to accomplish has been completed. Every matter of the heart that I could mold as a Mommy I tried my best to do. This December is one of the first since I’ve had children that I wasn’t rushed, I wasn’t stressed, I wasn’t overwhelmed, I wasn’t burdened by the to-do’s. It simply all got done by the power of Christ and faith knowing that what He wanted us to accomplish in His will would be done. I was filled with joy & peace in the opportunities for our family to give. I write this not with pride but with humility looking back over our month and seeing all that God did for His glory. And I’m in awe of His goodness. I could list all that we did this month but that’s not necessary. All that’s necessary is that I boast in the Lord and give Him the glory He’s due. This Christmas I’m thankful for the wonderful privilege to serve Him wholeheartedly above myself and above all that I thought was possible. And I pray every heart we attempted to touch was blessed beyond measure for the kingdom of heaven. This Christmas I gave Him all of me...this Christmas I experienced ALL of Him!

Merry Christmas!!! I pray that each of your New Years is filled with the Faith that can move mountains, the Peace that transcends all understanding and the Hope that is unseen. May the birth of our Savior draw you ever more closely to Him this Christmas.
