It took a while for him to find it because the baby is still so small and hasn't moved upward yet, but finally - there it was!!! I'm 11 weeks 3 days and will end my first trimester in 1 1/2 weeks - end of 12 weeks!! We have our next apt on Valentines day! You can hear the heartbeat here.

Nathan's 3 yr Portraits
Seriously - it's getting harder than ever to believe our little babies are now almost 3 & 4!! Nathan will be 3 on Saturday and is getting SOOO big - bigger than ever in personality! I'm thankful too that both our boys still love to cuddle and snuggle - I pray that never ends!!! Nathan LOVES his brother too. No matter what Brady is doing, Nathan is tagging right behind him. They are truly best friends and it amazes me that they could play for 2-3 hrs and never even need or want me!! Nathan has definitely picked up on his brothers and dad's creative imagination too! The stories he comes up with cracks us up!Nathan has always been a self-learner. He decides when he's ready for something and just tends to do it. From earlier than a year, he taught himself the shapes, then we moved on to colors and a couple months later he decided he knew them all...Tried to teach him the ABC's for months at about a year and 1/2 old and then all of a sudden one day he just knew those too. Ask him though while he's learning and he says with a smile "huh, what's that mommy", or "I dunno" or "I don't remember" - his favorite phrases. Now, all of a sudden he can WRITE and he's learning to read words too and has picked up on most his phonics. Of course, I work with him, but he has got a mind of his own. He taught himself to write the letter H and then from there it was easy to teach him lots of letters. Now he can write almost all of them and he can write his name in order all by himself too! He loves the sounds game and can now also tell us the beginning letter and ending letter of almost any word we ask him - so much fun!! It amazes me to watch their brain just take off! Brandon and I were talking the other day though and were wondering what it's going to feel like when it takes flight beyond ours!! crazy!!
Nathan loves babies too and can't wait for his baby "sister" to arrive - He and brady are determined it's a girl!! Although he has such a little gentle, sweet side, Nathan can carry his own in wrestling and any kinds of sports. We're going to be putting him in a sports class for 3 yr olds this Spring that teaches basketball, soccer and t-ball - he's SO excited!!! One of his favorite things to do every day is wrestle with daddy as soon as he walks in the door!! It's so fun to watch and I'm kinda missing the action a little now that I can't really wrestle with them.
Overall, Nathan is such a sweet joy!!! He does have a mind of his own even with discipline, but it's so fun to watch his personality flourish. The two's were a blast and I can't wait to see what the three's are going to hold!
Stay tuned for Nathan's "Cowboy" party pictures from his birthday party this Saturday!!
