Happy 9th Birthday, Bubba B!

NINE YEARS OLD…SERIOUSLY?? I’ve been told I say that way too often, but SERIOUSLY? I still remember so vividly the day he entered this world and we held him. What a blessing he was and continues to be. I smile so brightly when I think about Bubba B. because he just has that kind of effect on you. He brings so much joy and laughter to anyone he is around and he loves to be the jokester. He is a true master jedi at being goofy and silly!

Since I'm so far behind at blogging, I decided I would describe B's last year in pictures. Yes, he is in 3rd grade this year. Can you believe that?? He is so smart, witty and is very logical. Making things fit together just make sense to him....especially in real world circumstances. He especially loves science, drawing, and math. Hmmm, architect...inventor??

B is a wonderful big brother and those little guys look up to him in mighty ways - especially little C! He's constantly asking him to describe how to do something or get help building creations. B plays really well with the other two and they all love going on adventures and playing outside. They are often dressed up as the 3 Musketeers or hero's ready to conquer those evil villains residing in our backyard! He and N are truly best friends and it's neat to watch them grow even closer as they grow up.
BROTHERLY LOVE!
One one of their many adventures!
OH, computers - yes...that small screen that captivates B's thoughts all too often! Thankfully, he has to earn the time each day according to whether or not he had a good school day and that time is limited. His two favorties are Lego.com and webkinz world. Even loves to play the computer at Grandma's!

Just hanging around in trees again! These boys love to climb and B is no exception. He was able to maneuver his way down safely and by himself. :)
Such a big helper too! Although they are great with their chores helping me inside, we worked very hard this year to help them learn outside chores. Using a shovel was just one of them!

I am surprised B does not have any cavities!! This kid LOVEs candy! Thankfully he has a dye allergy which limits his choices drastically but he does have a sweet tooth just like his parents!
THis is a picture of B performing his Lego building skills at his homeschool enrichment program's talent show. He did such a great job and wasn't at all fearful of that mic.
Basketball still remains to be his favorite team sport. He's a lot smaller than most of the other boys but with his speed and agility he's doing pretty well.
One of his awesome school creations! Any guesses what this is and where it's from?
XBOX - Lego Indiana Jones, CARS, Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, - probably one of their favorite nights of the week. They earn time each week for an XBOX night and they are usually itching at the seams for the night to arrive! This is kinda what it looks like. It's the most quiet night of the week. LOL!

Our trampoline provides B with his gymnastics stunts and ability to jump off the mounds of energy flowing within. He's one energetic boy!
Another fun invention! We keep a box full of recycled goods around just for building purposes. This is what he built from Grammy's recycle collection.
Lot's of family Love!!

B chose to have a WIPEOUT party this year. He helped create all the courses and spent months in preparation for it. It turned out perfect and they all had an amazing time!

FALL 2011

Happy Fall Ya'll!! This is my favorite time of year! Great weather, back to school, lots of outdoors events, camping, & fall festivals!

This year we have a 3rd grader, 2nd grader and one in pre-K. They are all doing really well! We decided to make our home school a year round program and take off a week about every 4-5 weeks for field trips, fun, resting and catching up on other things. It has blessed ME tremendously and they really get excited about their weeks off which is great motivation for the weeks they are in school. I'm not sure why we didn't make this change sooner!First day of homeschool. They recieve German cones (Schultutes) every year filled with goodies.
AND then Mom has to get a picture of them as dunce hats! LOL!
First day at their Homeschool Enrichment Program

Corban participated in a preschool football class that taught the basics of the sport. He had such an amazing time and met some great friends! He's still got that arm! ...and an amazing kick too!

Nice little spiral, huh?

During the boys 1st off week of school, we surprised them with a trip to Legoland Discovery Center. It was all they ever dreamed it would be and more! Since we attended in the middle of the week while kids were in school, we had the place almost to ourselves!

Yes, that is Little Bubba in there. They completely covered him in!

Trying to see who can make the tallest tower. Poor guys. I felt so bad for them as they were almost finished and some smaller toddlers came in and knocked it all down. They were both troopers and very kind - proud mamma moment!

Our littlest guy is now also a Lego maniac!

***********
Nathan has a tradition for his adoption day every year - Rain Forest Cafe! It never gets old and he loves taking his adoption book, discussing all the details and looking at the pictures. We look at it throughout the year too but this day is the day we specifically set aside to praise God for blessing us with our beautiful son, Nathan! He loves every minute of it!

***********
We also made a trip to a local small zoo during our week off. They had a great time except there were no hippos. Little Bubba was quite disappointed. :)

***********
My brother (Christi's) chose to celebrate his birthday at Speed Zone this year. Boy were the boys excited about that choice!! Racing cars, video games and putt-putt!

***********

What says "FALL" better than a trip to the Pumpkin Patch! This year Grammy got to come along. I don't think our boys will ever outgrow this family tradition!

Little Bubba's favorite character! He was so excited to turn 4 so he could be like Cailou!
He actually looks like him, doesn't he?!

And of course, Phineas & Ferb!!

Our church had a family camp-out. SO. MUCH. FUN. Spending the entire weekend with wonderful friends and absolutely no responsibilities was just what the doctor ordered for our family! It was pure joy!
All the kids and a few adults playing "Mafia".

This was an impromptu swim at the lake.
Notice they are all in their clothes! :)

And these are the memories of our family so far this Fall.
Great Memories!
Next up...Bubba B's birthday blog!
